Northern Jamaica At-Large
The Northern Jamaica unit was initially created to accommodate persons in LANDS who were from St. Ann and St. Mary. All persons who have been a part of this unit have gone to school in St. Ann and had family that worked in Tourism.
The unit has struggled to grow, as scarce opportunities have pushed persons to move out of the area to pursue higher education or well-paying jobs; some have even left the country, but remain in LANDS by participating in the diaspora-based units.
The unit nevertheless remains active, discussing issues of national importance just like any other unit.
We are looking for more persons to join, so that we can have even more viewpoints on the things that we discuss.
